Team Spotlight

The SPAC 2005-2006 season officially ended with an Annual Banquet held at Angeloni's Cedar Gardens on May 17.

John Wandishin, Athletic Director, and Bob Henry, program chair and master of ceremonies, were joined on the dais by Msgr. Nolan, Father Dunn, Mary Beth Wells and Brother Frank (of St. Joe's).

There was a well-deserved tribute to outgoing Registration Director Michael Schwartz and a welcome to new Registration Director Brian Okupski, incoming Equipment Director Peter Pandolfo, and new member John Zappone, along with awards to Judy Foley, SPS secretary, and Paula Berg, St. Paul's webmaster. All of this punctuated by raffles of high-quality items (like whoopie cushions) and groaning rubber chickens and underscored by high-pitched screams.

The graduating 8th graders were awarded SPS letters and praised for their scholarly and athletic accomplishments:

The two graduating 8th graders who were the recipients of SPAC's annual scholarships for the two best Scholar-Athletes of the year, Joseph Convery and Bridget Maley, received plaques and congratulations from Msgr. Nolan:
