St. Paul's Parish Athletic Program
Boys Varsity Basketball

The boys’ varsity basketball team has just begun its season and is off to and 1 - 1 start in the Mercer County CYO League. After losing to Incarnation in its opener, the team rebounded the next week and defeated St. Raphael’s Gold. The team will play 16 league games which are held on Saturdays and Sundays from November through February. In addition to the CYO league, the team will also be competing in the Notre Dame High School Sending School Challenge Tournament and other tournaments throughout the season. Shown next is the varsity team huddled during a timeout.

This year’s squad is lead by five 8th graders, Joseph Convery, Brandon Gagliardo, Sean Hudgins, Kyle Mariboe and Robbie Michel. The rest of the team consists of a solid group of 7th graders: Ryan Bruvik, Kevin Corrigan, Patrick Daly, John Hall, Kevin Link, Joseph Mendoza, Patrick O’Connell and Sean O’Connell. Show here are Ryan Bruvik, Joey Convery, Robbie Michel and Sean O'Connell discussing strategy.

Along with competing on the basketball court this season, the boys will also be involved in a community service project for the Children’s Home Society of Trenton.

In this next picture, Kyle Mariboe shoots a foul shot while Joey Convery looks for the rebound and Sean O'Connell looks on.

Coaches Michael Link, Martin Hudgins and John Hall look forward to a great and enjoyable season with the boys.
